Apple Macbook Pro with Multi-Touch trackpad input

Apple has revamped its laptop line up and its new Macbook Pro now features the same Multi-Touch trackpad as seen on the Macbook Air. Unlike a normal trackpad, it supports gestures similar to those used on the iPhone, so you can zoom in on an image by pinching your fingers together, for example. The entry level model comes with a 15in 1,440×900 LED-backlit display, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of RAM and a 200GB hard drive. If you fancy splashing out, however, you could opt for a 17in 1,920 x 1,200 display, 2.6GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and a 300GB hard drive.

You also get Nvidia’s latest GeForce 8600M GT graphics chip so 3D performance won’t be a problem and an illuminated keyboard which makes it easier to type in poorly lit locations.

The updated Macbook Pro is available now from £1,299 from Apple.
